… collaborate with 6 to 7 cross-functional, highly skilled teams from different maturity levels. You support and tackle their challenges that relate to working and interacting. Your work will have a deep impact on the whole of Borealis’ organization – you’ll help us grow as a customer centric organisation.

At Borealis Digital Studio, we’ll trust you with these tasks:

  • conceptualising original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks;
  • execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering;
  • establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards as part of a cross-functional agile product teams;
  • collaborate with other designers within cross-team to problem solve design challenges and maintain a level of design consistency and coherence across products.

Therefore, we’d like you to have …

  • excellent visual design skills with high sensitivity to user-system interaction;
  • strong problem-solving skills;
  • excellent visual, written and verbal communication skills, along with presentation and negotiation skills;
  • a penchant for details;
  • the ability to suggest solutions and directions based on well founded and argued rationale;
  • the ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously.

To become part of this exciting club, we also expect you to …

  • have 3-5 years of experience in UI design;
  • know your way about existing and emerging digital and design tools, methods and practices;
  • be used to collaborating with customers and cross-functional team members;
  • be an excellent problem-solver;
  • take the lead in identifying problems or issues in the team dynamic and rectify them. You can pull out issues through agile health-checks with the team to provoke the right responses;
  • know how to design systems for use across multiple services and can identify the simplest approach out of a variety of approaches;
  • be able to lead the design and implementation of strategy, directing the evaluation of strategies and policies to ensure business requirements are being met;
  • have an entrepreneurial mindset;
  • have a proven history of delivering results on time and within budget.

And if you have … 

  • have an unstoppable drive to create order out of chaos;
  • the ability to sketch and generate big-picture ideas for early-stage UX work; 
  • experience developing rapid prototypes; 
  • knowledge of and experience with the agile software development process.
